When I was about 14 years old I worked at my first barber shop. I picked up my first pair of clippers and cut my first haircut. Even though that haircut was a disaster, I was very excited! At the time I didn't know that barbering would play such a huge role in my life.
I ended up owning 3 barbershop locations in Brooklyn named, ”Da Brick”. Da Brick was the talk of the town. Celebrity after celebrity visited and they were served with a smile. Then came love, then came marriage, and then came a baby in the baby carriage. So we sold the businesses and moved to Richmond, Virginia. The plan was to sell real estate, but that didn't last long. There was a short stint in personal training but my true love barbering, kept on calling. With a lot of prayer and patience my wife and I opened two barbershops here in Richmond and started Edify Cut and Shave Parlor!
